QCI Group are currently looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to join our forever expanding team of engineers to work in the automotive sector. The role will be based onsite directly working with our customer.

We are looking for immediate start.

This position is on contract basis working on a rolling 3 month period.

Work hours will be in the region of 40 hours per week. Overtime will be available if the customer requires it.

Job Description:

  • Provide engineering support to operations ensuring consistent application of quality techniques
  • Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerancing, and materials related issues.
  • Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
  • Develop and submit PPAP documents for new product lunches to meet customer requirements.
  • Must have knowledge of APQP.
  • Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes. Review and analyse results. Recommend changes to processes based upon findings and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
  • Participate in the Advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and start-up.
  • Coordinate pre-launch production trial run process monitoring.
  • Participate in the development of Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Maintain Control Plans and FMEA’s throughout the life of the part.
  • Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.

The role will be mainly based in the Cannock area, Staffordshire. It would be ideal if the individual has their own car or lives close by in the surrounding areas.

Job Details:

– 37.5 Hours Per Week,

– Mornings and Afternoon shifts available with shift allowance,

– Visual Inspection across various customer components and working to Customer specific requirements,

– Dimensional Inspection across various customer components using manual measuring equipment , such as Vernier, Micrometer and Heigh Guage etc…

The position is located in the Telford, Shropshire.

Access to their own vehicle would be great but not essential.

– Applicant must be able to collect and complete Material Data Sheets (MDSs) from Suppliers and Customers.
